Planning Questions Before Shipment
Does APS arrange ocean freight, customs clearance or final delivery?
APS supports retail pack-out, unit-load preparation, container-loading scope and shipment-handover coordination. Freight booking, customs clearance and downstream delivery are handled by the buyer-approved broker, carrier or shipment partner agreed for the project.
Which container loading methods can be reviewed?
Projects can be reviewed for palletized loads, floor-loaded cartons, slip-sheet unit loads or mixed-SKU configurations. The suitable route depends on the product, case strength, weights, container, handling equipment and destination requirements.
What is the difference between palletized and floor-loaded cartons?
Palletized loads support mechanical handling as complete unit loads. Floor-loaded cartons are placed directly on the container floor and may use container space more efficiently, but they require a suitable carton, loading and unloading plan.
What is required for slip-sheet loading?
Slip-sheet handling requires a compatible unit-load design and push-pull equipment. Equipment availability and unloading capability must be confirmed across the loading and receiving route.
Can APS prepare bundle, shelf-ready or display packaging?
Bundle packs, multipacks, shelf-ready cases, trays and display pallet concepts can be reviewed for approved products and project scopes. Final construction, artwork, quantities and retailer requirements must be confirmed.
